Account of Salvation
I was asked to write this out for my application to Bible school. This is the second time I’m writing it and I decided to give a brief explanation of it. So in short, this is how I know I’m saved
I am brought up in a Christian home where both my parents are ministers even before I was born. I cannot recall the day that I personally confessed and professed Jesus to be my saviour but I know that it happened through the testimony of my parents.
It is shared to me that at the tender age of 3 years old I had prayed with my parents accepting Jesus into my heart. The zeal of my faith was reflected as the following year I shared Christ to my brother and asked him to believe in Jesus too.
My parents would tell me of when I was at that age sighing and looking forward to Jesus return even as a young child. My faith in God has been never a question all through my life. The reality and understanding of His grace and mercy and the truth of the gospel has been an adventure and walk that has been very interesting.
I must still say my faith in who God is and what He has done for me cannot be shaken. Still I have to die to myself daily and the process of learning and growing in my faith is constantly a battle. I am determined to fight the good fight and run the good race until I see Him face to face one day. I have decided to follow Jesus and there is no turning back.
