Cambodia – Day 6 and 7
This was some of my medicine – you squeeze it and the suck the juice…interesting way to eat an orange….and it is green in color but sweet!!
I will compress these two days into one because I practically just spent most of my time bedridden. I was really out of it because the whole night through I had difficulty breathing, a sore throat, coughing my lungs out. I didn’t want to wake the others up so I pushed through the pain. Sothy arrived early in the morning as he was going to take me on a tour but I couldn’t get up. I told him I needed medication. He immediately wrote them down and rushed off to buy it for me. They couldn’t find what I needed but some anti-histamine helped. I was aching to the bone and so they left me to rest.
I was a living factory of green mucus and phlegm. I had finished a box of tissues with my nose running all over the place and was moving on the second box and I was tempted to show you a picture of the mess. But I’ll spare you this time ok? So I rested most of the day until dinner where I was brought to eat something soupy to help.
Roast BBQ chicken by the road side
Night Fruit Market where they bought the orange in the first pic for me
Yummy beef steamboat which I could hardly taste
They took care of me so so well as they promised you guys and if not for them I would have been worse. Finally they managed to obtain an inhaler for me that really helped me to start breathing and gained the strength to walk. I don’t like doctors so I refused to go. I’ve been also so used to being sick that I was sure I could handle it. Still other than my breathing things weren’t good. They laughed when I said that the Cambodian bug is stronger than the bug in Malaysia.
I slept better this time but woke up constantly coughing out phlegm and blood. I was not typically worried though but just smsed home for some advice.
Now I’m feeling better. Sothy is with his wife having a blast and I’m glad because he almost gave that up to take care of me. So sorry guys, I wasn’t able to procure many pictures unless you want some pictures of a bedridden man with tissues filled with phlegm and blood. Hahahaha
At the end of day 7, I was on my feet again though still weak, I didn’t feel so dead. Thanks for your prayers from home.

Uh, sounds like you were really sick and you still didn’t see the doctor? Oh boy.

Yes I was very sick. Still haven’t fully recovered from everything until now….
Hmm, looks like you suffered a lot during your last two days at cambodia. You really should have gone to the doctor la..From the way you describe things, it seems pretty bad.
But if i was in your position i most probably wouldn’t have gone as well. Never like them too. Haha..
But i’m glad they took good care of you.
