These few days I’ve been literally brought to exhaustion. So many things happening. Actually just one major thing happened! I moved. Yes, again I have to move to a new living place. I wasn’t looking forward to it but well, you just have to do what you have to do right?

So I got so tired packing my things…….then I realized I have too many things!! How in the world does one accumulate so many things? Then the very next day I had to move everything to the new room. Thank God for friends who made it even possible. Doing it on my own isn’t even remotely possible. They are my colleagues and they were so willing to help. I was so touched. In the end, my things literally filled the entire floor! And still there was more to come.

I looked at all the things and I just didn’t want to start unpacking. Finally I dragged myself to unpack slowly. Wanna take a guess what is the first thing I unpacked? Ok I won’t tell but you all guess ok? After unpacking that I literally gave up on doing the rest cause it was time to do some shopping! Shopping for the things I need to make this room look gorgeous.

Where do you go when you want to buy things to make your room look nice? Ikea of course. They should pay me for advertising them. Although I don’t think they have the cheapest things around, they have most of what I need under one roof! Yes, that is the way I shop hahaha. I hate going to multiple places just to get the best bargain.

So I spent the entire evening until 10 pm choosing and going through getting what I want and need. Yes I got many things I wanted and not needed. Still it was not things I was going to use rarely but quite often. It is just I can live without them but the room won’t look nice.

The thing about shopping I realize is, when you don’t set a budget, you tend to overspend. That is just exactly what happened to me although I was prepared for it. I knew I would spend but I didn’t think I would spend that much. My poor pocket. Still there was more to come…..I didn’t manage to get it all!

So I reached home and did as much as I can to make the place sleepable…below is a view of it half done….even that took 4 hours. I must tell you this, I couldn’t have done it on my own. I had a really great friend who helped drive me everywhere and help me packed too. For that I’m forever grateful. You are the best! If not for you I would not have made those wonderful choices!

All I had to began with was an empty bed with a warped desk, a wardrobe, a dressing table and a spoilt small cabinet. So I bought lamps, mats, cupboards and so much more…

The next day, my hands were aching cause of the shifting. My muscles on my hands were really really sore. Even so after service, I had to get some more stuff. Funny thing about shopping again is, when you intend to get something, you always seem to get something else instead. I got so many other things and in the end only managed to get a few things I needed hahaha. One of them was a haircut. Yup wanna take a look?

We got back this time again carrying a heavy load with groceries and all. My hands were feeling like they were¬† reaching the end of its usefulness haha. When I reached back, again it was fixing and packing and pushing and shoving……ok the latter part is not real hahha. Until All was done at last. I felt so fulfilled at last. Are you ready to see my work of art? My masterpiece?

This is a view of the door area. In the left you see a black and white mat I got¬† for Ikea. The wardrobe and next to it my laundry basket also from Ikea. Also you see the bright light, that is the new lampstand I bought. I love it, especially with the dimmer to set the mood. Sadly you can’t see it. Then the shelf on the right is also from Ikea. I also got me a powerful fan at the bottom hehe.

Here you see another reading lamp I bought with a dual purpose as a room lamp too hehe. Next to it is a shelf I really like and got from Ikea. In it are my CDs and books. Wooohoo. As some of you can see. There are your pictures there to remind me of you all. I miss you all so much. Hopefully one day I can put my girlfriend’s picture there

This is my work space! Nice? I have my studio monitors, mac and all put on some metal shelfs I got from Ikea. Underneath is my keyboard.¬† And look at the mat at the bottom! Its a star! No it doesn’t glow, it shines! It is actually little lights. I love it! So nice! The high stool I also bought from Ikea. Let me give you closer views…
