My day off Adventure in Singapore @ Southern Ledges – Part 2
We continued on to the end of the park where we reached the bridge named Henderson Waves. Oh boy was it a sight to behold. It was beautiful and it connects Mount Faber to Hilltop walk. Another park.
Henderson Waves….
A view on the bridge
At the end of the bridge
We walked on which for me seemed like eternity to Hilltop park which was just slightly different from Mount Faber and a bit smaller. I really liked this staircase though somehow….liked looking at it but dreaded walking on it…. we were about 3km through our journey….both of us filled with sweat…so much so I think all the tourists ran away as there were none hahaha.
Stairway to???
At the end of this park was Floral walk which was a long long stretch of an aluminum bridge connecting us to Hortpark which was a horticulture park at Alexandria Road. After all this walking, it made me reminisce on climbing Mount Kinabalu which was a million times more beautiful….maybe next year I should go. Anyone wants to join me? This place will be a good place to train though I was thinking…
Floral Walk’s brigde
I was still on the mission to see wildlife but we were nearing the end of trip and yet I saw none….except ants of course. At last lo and behold at the end of floral walk I saw a yellow coloured bird. I was estatic and my friend laughed at me. Hahahha. We reached Hortpark where we just sat down rested our weary legs and enjoyed the beauty of nature and well….buildings hahaha.
Pretty Flower
Some other wildlife

Me trying to model…hahha

Another beautiful tree
At last we were exhausted but we still had a long way to go. We were going to take a bus then walk to the night spots. Sadly, Elroi forgot to bring his tripod so the pictures weren’t as nice as they could be. But still here are some of those we took as we walked from City Hall to St. Andrews cross the Padang to Esplanade then towards Clark Quay. We thank God that the whole day it looked like it would rain and forecast predicted thunderstorms. Yet only when we have finished seeing all these places did it rain.
I was satisfied to the brim doing something not the same as my usual day to day. I hope Elroi enjoyed himself too haha. We talked a lot about life on the way….and I can only say thank God he came. I missed home so much and it was good to have someone to talk to and not feel like you only know them for a month.
At the end of it though, I want a camera now!!! A good one….I want to learn how to take photographs too. A good camera makes so much difference to the result of a picture. Still no time la to invest hahaha. I’m a happy man! Hehe.

Leon said:
Clark Quay was super boring for me and not exciting for him as well hence no pictures haha. I don’t know why people like it so much. Oh well I think you will like it though. Come here and visit me then I will bring you there la.
Fine I know the model fail. Don’t have to tell the whole world right? So sad….so so sad
Very Very beautiful shots, great pics….And the walk through yr description seems really long, but nice
( i mean in the middle of the big tree …looks very nice and shady )
I like the flowers and the big tree….Hmm you should have climbed in the middle there and posed for a picture
Well..hmm looks like S’pore is not very much of a nature place, all mostly concrete and modernized….I think it would look even better if there was more wildlife…anyway thats just a thought.

I think the tree would break if I climb. Overweight….hehe. Yeah we can hope for some horses and monkeys, goats to come over from Malaysia no?
nope ler.. not the whole day thing so dont worry you dont have to walk that much.. i meant the night view with the so nice lights only haha.. i wanna see the place at the last photo live in front of me hehehhe..

Wow lovely lovely pics! Singapore’s not so bad after all huh! I must really go and explore S’pore one day. Can’t wait for my bro to get his own place, more reason to go down then.
Leon, can you check out what camera was Elroi using? The brand and model. Thanks!

wow…can’t believe all those are in Singapore. I mean, Singapore, concrete jungle like Hong Kong. Anyway, i would really want to go there. Wonder why when my cousin was still in S’pore, they didn’t take us there…made me think that S’pore is a boring place…..
yea, all the pics was beautiful, praise to the photographer..xD..and Leon too for blogging about it..
Leon said:
Carmille!!! So long no hear from you. It is quite a boring place in many ways…this is one of the few nice things to do. Come la, the new place I might move to is just on the end of the trail. But be ready to smell the aroma of stinky bodies after that hehehe
Aha I see you visited the ‘Singapore Durian’….as one Singaporean called it…hee hee
Do you know when is the Formula One held in Singapore?
Can you imagine the F1 cars zooming past…n the roads don’t look very wide!!!
Leon said:
Yes they all call it that. I so want to go to the night race but…..no money

Ya lor boooohooo, I got a terrible sun burn the last time
One thing that puts Singapore ahead of Malaysia is the clean & tidy look.
Singapore sure look a whole lot cleaner than Malaysia.
Pleasant to the eyes also. How I wish Malaysian will learn to be as clean

I think leh it is better in a way. It is the enforcement of rules that is the problem la
