Sorry
Do you realize that this word has been used and abused in a horrific way that it has lost its true meaning and significance? What does it mean to say we are sorry? What is it to be sorry?
I get really worked up when I hear the sorry word used as just a sympathetic expression or just a regretful feeling. It is so much more than that. Being sorry and saying sorry also means two different things.
Why I get worked up? Because I’m reflecting each time we say sorry to¬† God are we truly sorry and repentant? How much do we really care about saying sorry? To me it is one of the most important words in the entire world.
So each time you’re sorry, Please Think. Pause for 6 seconds, then realize if that is the right thing to say because sorry means:
S- sincerely
O- offering apology
R- right from my heart,
R- realizing my mistake and truly apologizing to
Y- you, with a promise to try not to commit that mistake again…

SORRY……………… yeah, i waited more than 6 seconds to say that… i think 3 minutes…

Sorry? For what?
Thanks for the reminder . I often am guilty of misusing the word, using it too often and forgetting the true meaning of it .

It is not meant to instill guilt more to encourage a revival of its true meaning
I think as much as it’s being overly used and abused, it is under-ly used as well. I agree that this word should only be used if it meant truly from the heart and at appropriate occasions… but also, I find that there are many who find it so hard to say sorry when they’re suppose to. Maybe it’s pride or ego I don’t know.. but they can’t seem to humble themselves to apologize when they need to.

I think that is a whole different issue together. I personally don’t bother if someone apologizes or not. The person who apologizes is usually the one who benefits not the one who receives it in many cases if you realise. Why they don’t apologize, only they know….probably they don’t know also….its a lot to do with background
