Where’s My Food?
It is apparent that we Malaysians especially in the middle and upper middle class income are over fed! We are on the verge of being an overeating society and yet we strive to avoid those fatal diseases such as diabetes, high-cholesterol, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack,…….whoa I’m getting frightened!
On Mike’s blog I read about should we pray before we eat? My question is why do we eat? Must we finish all the food on our plate? All this is my personal opinion about food.
I eat to live. If possible I don’t want to eat. Haha. Eating is a necessity. An indication that our body need supplements. We talk about food so much here in this place because food is available at your demand 24 hours. We also make a big deal about how much sleep we must have.
That reminds me I should recommence my selectively vegetarian diet again. What does that mean? I’m going to eat vegetables alone unless I have to eat meat on occasions like when I’m out with people.
Still I am reminded that all our physical nourishment comes from our Father in heaven. When we give thanks, eat everything that is given on your plate whether you like it or not. Don’t waste. But even more important still, God provided for it and it’s rude to just push it aside when its safe to be eaten. We should never eat it only because we like it. I would believe so because when God provided manna for the Israelites, He asked them to take just enough. No wasting right?
In the same way though, we must never forget that we need spiritual nourishment. We eat food everyday. Do we receive spiritual nourishment everyday? If we don’t have enough, we will certainly look like this!
We have starving Christians today, not only physically but spiritually starving Christians. Is your life overflowing with springs of living water and are we shriveling away?
So when you ask the question, where is my food? And you feel that hunger rumbling in your belly and you can’t wait for the prayers to be done to eat, remember to pray and thank God also for the spiritual nourishment. The good times and the bad times. In all we do GIVE THANKS! Amen! – Then we will look like this!

Haha the photos are so cute la….Really resemble how we look in those kind of situations….She does have a beautiful smile
Well I do agree that people waste food nowadays. I used to also pick my food…not finishing things i don’t like …but now have learned the importance of finishing everything on my plate…even prawns…unless someone els wants it…hehe but i usually eat everything on my plate nowadays…Haha a great tip from me is to eat the things you don’t like first then save yr favourites for last !! Haha thats my technique…..

Reminder after reading this post: Eat, Eat…Don’t waste those nasty prawns….
Yes, many Christians are dying of spiritual malnutrition…. Still remember the saying, “breathe once a week” now its “eat once a week”
Leon said:
I liked that too about the ‘breathe once a week’. That one though is more illustrative than mine. Breathing once a week will cause you to die. Eating once a week is just malnourishment. Maybe I should have used breathing hahaha.
Yes! Wen Cheang. For goodness sake eat your food!

Do you call a person who eats 3 roti canais, 1 thosai, drinks 2 glasses limau ais, and 1 teh o ais limau a person who doesn’t eat much or doesn’t like to eat? And no one believes that he doesn’t like to eat or said “i actually, eat very little ONLY”??
And who am I? “A person who doesn’t eat at all?” Actually, I don’t like to eat also. Sigh… I need to eat.
Pauline: I don’t think facial treament will help.
Leon: Don’t waste money ya. Haha…

I won’t be angry. And yes I am a forgiving man teeehheeeheee
Our world is now slumping in food crisis. Many will wake up and go to bed empty stomach. Other’s will just suffer malnutricien for the rest of their life.
But why are the buffet dinner still making tons of profits? Why some still so choosy about eating cucumber, celery, or other foods? If we pray before we eat, we should eat with a thanksgiving heart and finish our food.
Yes, the portion may be too many for some, but can’t we share food or at least working out something with our thankful heart? And there are those who blatanly say they just won’t consume certain food. I pray that they won’t wait untill they are really suffering from food deficiency like Africa in order to learn their lesson. God help us all.
*ps: I should ask loyalty from Leon for all those cute chubby little photos of Miracle Leong

Yeah going on mission trips have made me learn a lot about how to appreciate what I have. Main thing is whether people realise giving to the poor was something natural that happened when they became Christians in the early church.
Mike its royalty not loyalty
She’s my daughter too ok hahaha
