Hey! I have one suggestion probably to give you more work to do, men. Would it be good if you can write a song for Mother’s Day for this year? We will hope to hear from you while you preach on May 11, 2008. Bless all the mothers!!! Ha ha

Mmm, about music? My knowledge about music is what, less than 10 maybe. On a scale of 1 to 10 its around 5…maybe even less. I don’t know.

That is good, then you can tell me what you want to know to get that figure up to a 6 or maybe even 10

i think it’s either you’re those who listens to music or those who produce (i.e. those who play/sing/compose)… of course can be both also lah.. but i guess maybe majority of your readers are those who listen.. that’s why they want you to produce music for them to listen.. haha.

anyways, for my own interest and benefit, i wanna know about jazz chords.. heeeheee… yea so u can dedicate that post to me.. hahahha… since it’ll probably gonna sound very technical and bore your other readers… =) haha i’m so bad lah..

ahhhhh, help me get distinction for my upcoming piano exam…. Hehe….. Struggling in my sight reading. i wana know how you musicians/music teachers can sight read so perfectly……. Science says its not how fast you read the notes, but rather how well you analyze the melody. What do you think?

i also would love to know why do “modern classical musicians” write such weird pieces that don’t sound like music at all.

Leon said:

Nice topic but there are many books about that. I will try to answer those questions next time. Remember that these are my opinions not the only answer.

I’ll give you a quick tip though. When you read you don’t need all the letters in the word to enable you to read smoothly right? So in the same way, if you can see the structure of the piece you will find it easier. Ok in layman terms. Don’t focus on the individual notes. See the big picture then it will be easier. I don’t know if that helps

I could sit the exam for you….dress up like you….lose some weight…..but still can’t guarantee I will get a distinction. hahaha

Hey, some of my pastor’s friends would want you to help in teaching some technique of how to play Keyboard in worship smoothly while you are in Cambodia. But how to help and I don’t want to stress you more than this?

Leon said:

Really? Oh My… ok I will do it

(1) Yo, Sothy! Come visit my blog at http://www.mikeleo8.blogspot.com

(2) Yo, Leon! Write about Biblical music, how music can be part of worship lifestyle, how music can affect spirituality and mind, how music and corrupt or heals, how music can affect us when we switch it on during our studies, how music are influencing the world, secular music vs church music,…. there are tons of things you can write.

After that, compile it and produce a book on it for sale. Then, you can live with its loyalty. Cool, huh?

Leon said:

You and your loyalty. Royalty laaaaa. You know I could even write a book on each of that topic. You think I so professional? I will do a write up though on a more general tone ok? Maybe just maybe I’ll work hard on doing a few research papers on this for you all
